Nate Libby is a Maine-based economic development strategist and the principal of Libby & Company, advising governments, developers, and nonprofits on complex projects involving public policy, finance, and community redevelopment.

Nate has held a range of civic leadership roles, including economic development director of Maine’s second largest city, president of a community development finance institution in central and western Maine, and Maine Senate Majority Leader. During his ten years in the Legislature, Nate maintained a consulting practice serving business, nonprofit, and local government clients. These experiences deepened his expertise in economic policy, public-private investment and partnerships, municipal finance, and stakeholder engagement, creating his unique perspective and approach to his work.

Known for his grounded, strategic and resourceful approach, Nate helps clients move projects forward, especially those that are politically sensitive, complex, or highly visible.
